Call for Proposals

We invite scholars, researchers, educators, and graduate students in the field of education to submit proposals for an academic research presentation, panel or round-table discussion, or poster session on the role of culture in education.

 

We welcome all kinds of topics related to this theme, including but not limited to language teaching, teacher training, primary education, secondary education, technical education, assessment, policy, and more.

 

Please submit an abstract of no more than 150 words with a title of no more than 15 words by the deadline. See below for an example submission.

Title: Culture Shock in the Middle East: Personal Stories under a Critical Realist Lens
 

Abstract: This presentation will highlight a number of real-life teaching stories related to cultural misunderstandings in the Middle East. Experiences will be examined from a Critical Realist perspective to shed light on the underlying
elements at play. Pictures, humour, and storytelling will be used to engage the audience in this academic, yet entertaining, presentation.
